The Squadron Keelboat Program (SKP) is a performance keelboat training program for sailors between 13 – 23 years old.
Founded in 2000 the SKP provides the opportunity for youth sailors to become involved in keelboat racing at a state, national and international level. The program also places a significant emphasis on assisting sailors in getting onto larger yachts to compete in the RSYS summer and winter seasons including the offshore series.
The program utilises the Squadron’s fleet of Elliott 7 sports boats and other Squadron owned vessels to develop sailors’ boat handling skills to an advanced level. The program is coached by Nev Wittey, a previous America’s Cup skipper and Olympian, and is supported by the SKP management team of Zac Quinlan, Jack Littlechild and RSYS Captain Karyn Gojnich.
