Founded in 1862, the Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron stands as one of Australia's most prestigious and historic private Members clubs. Nestled along the picturesque shores of Sydney Harbour, our Club has played a significant role in the development and promotion of sailing and yacht racing in Australia for over a century.

Now home to a diverse mix of passionate sailors, distinguished yacht owners, and sailing enthusiasts from around the world, RSYS has been at the forefront of numerous significant sailing events and our Members have achieved remarkable success on both the national and international stage.

From leading the first three Australian challenges for the America's Cup to the inaugural Admiral’s Cup challenge and the first Australian Olympic Gold medal, our Members have helped earn RSYS a reputation for producing world-class sailors.

The club's esteemed sailing program continues to foster this legacy offering a mix of weekly race series and highly competitive national and international events. Our RSYS Sailing Academy also provides comprehensive performance programs and discover sailing courses for sailors of all abilities.
