RSYS Dinghy Training Programs
The RSYS Sailing Academy offers three dinghy training programs that are designed to cater for our Members’ wide range of interests and experience levels. Each program provides sailors with world-class coaching, weekly training sessions both on and off the water, and support during the Club Dinghy series. Our dinghy training programs are a great opportunity for our Members to sharpen their sailing skills in a fun and competitive environment.
Our dinghy training programs include the:
- Optimist Program (Green and Open Fleet) = Open to youth sailors beginning their racing journey.
- Pacer Program = Open to youth sailors interested in double-handed sailing (two people) with spinnakers and teams racing.
- Laser Program (Development and Performance Fleets) = Open to both Youth and Open Sailors.

VOLUNTEERS
Volunteers are the backbone of our Club, and we rely on their assistance when organising training sessions, race days and other events both on and off the water. We are extremely grateful for their support and are always looking for more helpers.
As a small token of our appreciation, the RSYS Sailing Academy puts on a range of courses to help upskill our parenting volunteers, such as Powerboat and Race Officer courses.
