Whiskey Masterclass at RSYS

Join us at RSYS for the first in our masterclass series of 2023 with Brookie’s Distillery. Based in Byron Bay, Brookie’s is the vision conceptualised by Eddie Brook and his mentor and friend Jim McEwan, former master distiller of Bruichladdich (Scotland).

They started with the goal of making the best Australian Dry Gin and now they aim to make some of the best whiskey Australia offers.

Russell Geggie, a key member of the Brookie’s team, will guide us through the fundamentals of distilling and Brookie’s transition from gin producer to whiskey producer.

Members will be sampling Brookie’s Australian Dry Gin, Cape Byron Original Single Malt Whisky, Cape Byron Wine Cask Expression Whisky and finishing up with the Barrel Aged Mac Liqueur with matched canapes. Bookings are essential.

Date: Wednesday 17 May
Time: 6pm for class beginning 6:30pm – 7:30pm.
Venue: Careening Cove Anchorage. Join us for dinner in the Carabella dining room afterwards.
Cost: $45pp
