Amelia Wilson & Charlotte Wormald

RSYS member Amelia Wilson at 16 years of age, won a bronze medal in the Sailboard Individual Female event at Iumi Water Sport Park at the 2023 Pacific Games. She also won silver with Charlotte Wormald in the Sailboard team event.

'Just before the medal race the winds picked up to 15 knots, and it ended up being a great race,' Amelia said. 'Charlotte and I are so happy we came second in the team event, we’ve had a great time out there on the water.'

The 70-strong Australian Pacific Games Team has closed its campaign in Solomon Islands with boxer Caitlin Parker carrying the flag for Australia at the Closing Ceremony.

Every team member secured a medal with Australia winning 50 gold, 24 silver and 10 bronze, with the Team taking indelible memories from a special Pacific Games experience.
