Sunday Tackers Program
Tackers' is an Australian Sailing national program aimed at introducing children to sailing in a fun and safe way within a three-level format. Our Sunday Tackers Program is designed for kids aged 8–12, giving them the chance to learn new skills and make new friendships while sailing each week.
RSYS is an accrediated Discover Sailing Centre. All courses are conducted by fully qualified Australian Sailing Instructors & Assistant Instructors.
The Sunday Tackers program runs for eight weeks during school terms.
Summer Session Times : 9am - 12pm
Winter Session Times : 1pm – 4pm
Tackers 1 is designed for kids with little to no sailing experience. They will learn the basics of sailing through practical and fun activities
Tackers 2 is for those who have successfully completed Tackers 1. Kids will continue to build their skills and on-water confidence.
Tackers 3 is the final tackers level. Sailors will develop advanced sailing skills, preparing them to move into Racing.
Holiday Sailing Camps
Set sail on a new adventure! Our Junior Learn to Sail Holiday Camp offers kids aged 8–11 the chance to build lifelong skills and confidence on the water. With experienced, qualified instructors and a fleet of safe, easy-to-handle dinghies, young sailors will discover the excitement of sailing through fun, hands-on lessons. Each session blends practical sailing with games, teamwork, and water safety, all in a supportive and active outdoor environment.
Whether your child is brand new to sailing or looking to develop their skills, our program provides the perfect balance of structured learning and summer holiday fun. From hoisting their first sail to mastering the basics of wind and balance, kids will walk away with new friendships, confidence, and a strong foundation in this rewarding lifelong sport. Join us on the water and give your child a unique and empowering experience they’ll never forget!
