The RSYS Youth fleet had a great day out on the water on Sunday, with a 18-22 kt north-easterly to race in, as they
prepared for the last few events of the season. As some of the top RSYS Laser sailors were out of action due to YST trials, it was
the younger brigade that worked hard to take their racing to a new level and practice their race trade.
The Lasers are off to the Metros next week over at Double Bay Sailing Club, and with the YST sailors back, there should be a big
contingent of our sailors representing RSYS.
The Optimists had a full fleet out on the water, all vying for top spot for both handicap and scratch honours in the Club championships.
Placings are top for both point scores, and after a few light days, the more experienced older sailors were grinning from ear to ear at the
sight of the waves and big wind. The Optimists have one more training session next week before we migrate to Lake Macquarie for the
NSWIODA State Championship on the weekend of the 25-26 March.
Keep training guys, you’re doing so well!
