SKP Junior Squad wrap up the Interclub Challenge 2023!

Last Wednesday, Members joined us to listen to ‘A Conversation about Jane Austen’s Remedy and Other Literary Matters’ with Susannah Fullerton and Ruth Wilson’ at this month’s Literary Luncheon.

Last night, we were very lucky to be joined by esteemed yachtswoman Wendy Tuck at this month’s Cruising Division speaker evening. We had a full house, with 111 attendees joining us in the Carabella Room.

RSYS members again headed south to Melbourne to participate in the 31st Australian Women’s Keelboat Regatta held over the Kings Birthday Weekend. 

RSYS Member Jack Ferguson has been exceptionally busy with his Moth Sailing campaign. Last week he competed in the Moth UK Open in Weymouth from 7 – 9 June and is now competing in the Moth World Championship.

Over the long weekend, 20 youth sailors represented the Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron at the East Coast Championship. The regatta was held at Georges River 16′ Sailing Club from Saturday 10 – Monday 12 June

There was a great roll-up for the Club’s Speakers event on Thursday, June 8. The panel discussion on Artificial Intelligence clearly caught the current AI zeitgeist.

For RSYS’s second wine dinner of the year, our Club is proud to host Will Shields, head winemaker of Sevenhill Cellars

On Friday evening, 2 June, over 150 guests joined us in the Carabella Room for our annual Crabshack feast.

Round two of Interclub Challenge hosted by the Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron (RSYS) on Sunday, June 4, witnessed a thrilling display of sailing skills and fierce competition among the participating clubs. Beginning early in the morning, race management oversaw six races with a fleet of eight Elliott 7 sportsboats.

We are excited to announce that our upgrade to Northstar Global is now live.

The Carabella Room was at capacity on Friday 26 May with Members and sailors awaiting the presentation of our Club’s finest silverware to mark the end of the 2022-23 season.
