RSYS SailPass

What is a SailPass?

A RSYS SailPass is a compulsory pass for all sailors who wish to participate in any RSYS race series and are not currently a financial member of an Australian Sailing affiliated sailing club e.g. RSYS.
Check here.

The pass is required under the Australian Sailing prescription for rule 46 of the Racing Rules of Sailing that state;

“All persons on board a boat while racing shall be members of a Club affiliated to Australian Sailing and have an Australian Sailing number, or hold a valid Sail Pass, or if an international competitor, be a member of a club affiliated to a World Sailing recognised Member National Authority”.

The RSYS SailPass is offered as an invitation to sail from your skipper and provide sailors temporary personal injury insurance through the Australian Sailing scheme during the selected period.

RSYS currently offers SailPasses for the following periods:

  • RSYS SailPass – Summer A (September 2021 – January 2022)
  • RSYS SailPass – Summer B (January – April 2022)
