Race Management

Our extensive sailing program would not be possible without the support of our volunteer race management team.  We hold regular training to help our team to develop their skills so that we can professionally run all aspects of our Sailing Calendar including:

  • Start / Finish Boat Crews (recorders, timekeepers, flag signals, sound signals)
  • Course Laying Boat Skippers and Crew
  • Safety / Patrol Boat Skippers and Crew
  • Communications (Radio Operators)
  • Results (recording, processing, publishing)
  • On-water judging and umpiring
  • Arbitrators and Protest Committees
  • Auditing
  • Support during major events

For those interested in becoming a race management volunteer and willing to take on a new perspective to racing please contact the club’s Principal Race Officer Rob Ridley at rob@rsys.com.au or Tel: +612 9017 0151 for more information.
