Passionate young sailors from far and wide are travelling to Sydney for the 2019 Hardy Cup. The Squadron's annual Grade 3 match racing regatta for 18-25 year olds will be held from 4 - 7 February in the waters just off our Club.
We look forward to welcoming teams from Del Rey Yacht Club and New York Yacht Club, USA; Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron and Port Nicholson Yacht Club, NZ; as well as Australian sailors from Darwin Sailing Club, Derwent Sailing Squadron, CYCA and RPAYC.
The Squadron first hosted this regatta in 2001. America’s Cup and Olympic sailor Sir James Hardy put his name to the prestigious trophy at the outset and he’s still Patron, saying 'It is a tremendous pleasure to watch future champions developing their skills on Sydney Harbour.'
RSYS is fielding two teams this year, coached by Club Member Nev Whittey:
Charlotte Griffin, Mitch Evans, Charlotte Alexander, Zac Quinlan, Maddie Kornman
Nick Rozenauers, Marlena Berzins, Jack Littlechild, Alex Rozenauers, Charlotte Grey.

Could you offer a billet to one of our visiting interstate or international teams? They're passionate sailors, aged 18-25 and need a bed and dinner from 3 - 8 February. RSYS will look after everything else. It's a great way for your own kids to make new friends in the sailing community! We greatly appreciate your help. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
