The RSYS eSailing Lockdown Series utilises the popular Virtual Regatta Inshore platform. Many of you may have used this program before, but for those new to it, we have created some easy to follow instructions to get your account set up. Racing is conducted on Tuesday evenings and Saturday/Sunday afternoons. Please see the NOR/SIs located on the series webpage for more information. The eSailing Lockdown Series is free for all sailors; in game purchases are not required to partake in the series.

Please take a look at the webpage here for more information and to register

Australian Sailing have just announced the ‘Zhik Australian eSailing National Challenge’, also hosted on Virtual Regatta, which takes one participant from each of several Clubs to battle it out against each other.

See more details on the event on the AS page here.

We will hold a qualifying race day in the coming weeks to decide the sailor who will represent the Squadron in the National Challenge.

Over the weekend, the inaugural Interclub Youth eChallenge kicked off between RSYS, CYCA, RPAYC and NCYC. Up to five Youth sailors are nominated from each club to enter the challenge. Congratulations to the sailors who represented the Squadron: Garth Bickford, Louis Tilly, Ashton Scott, Benedict Mckay, Spencer McKay and Jack Ferguson. Team RSYS managed to take out the win in Round 2 hosted by RSYS on Sunday. The team worked brilliantly together, talking tactics over a Zoom call during the racing.

We hope to see you joining us on the virtual racecourse soon!
