Horatio Nelson, legendary hero and the “other story.”

Nelson’s Folly, by Oliver Greeves, attacks the myth-making behind one of history’s greatest legends, offering a fresh insight into the lives of Horatio Nelson and his devoted wife Fanny.

It is a thrilling story of sacrifice, betrayal, battles and survival.

Our Speaker

Squadron Member Oliver Greeves is descended directly from Viscountess Frances Nelson. Following a career in banking and insurance, Oliver concentrated on creative writing at the “New School” in Greenwich Village, New York City.

Oliver will discuss his connection to Nelson and explore the relevance of the story today, looking at Fanny as a leader. He will give a short reading from the novel and sign guests’ copies.
