COVID update at RSYS

We hope all our members and friends in the sailing community stay safe and well in the coming challenging weeks.

We are all being asked to reduce our interactions with people outside our home as much as possible until at least 9 July.

View the NSW Government latest rules.

The new rules preclude organised sport. This means that all racing, training and camps are cancelled including:

  • Combined Clubs Winter Series, 3 July
  • School holiday camps this week and next
  • Classic Car & Boat Show, 4 July
  • Radio Control Sailing, 4 July

Please read this comprehensive COVID-19 boating update from Maritime.

The clubhouse is closed, however:

  • The change rooms are open
  • The jib cranes are open
  • The tender is running a limited service Monday – Friday from the outer pontoon; Weekends from the inner pontoon. It will only transport members of the same crew per journey. Masks are mandatory on the tender. Please walk down the driveway and not via the CCA steps.

The Boatshed is open for repair and maintenance – by prior appointment only.

Waterfront Update 29 June 2021

The Tender service is running Monday – Friday from the outer pontoon.

Weekends from the inner pontoon.

NB: please walk down the driveway and not via the CCA steps. The tender will transport up to 6-8 members of the same crew per journey (depending on the tender). Masks are mandatory on the tender.

To ease the pressure on the tender service and to reduce waiting times, we ask that skippers wait for their crew where possible before boarding the tender. After racing we ask that where possible skippers drop some crew off on the pontoon before returning to the mooring. Skipper/crew are requested to assist the tender drivers by being ready for pick up on time. A maximum of a TWO-minute wait time before the tender driver must move on to the next pick up.

Members are encouraged to wear a lifejacket when working on their vessel by themselves on their mooring.

2-hour berthing is available with bookings.
Bookings should be made with the Waterfront Team, call 9017 0161 or email On weekends call the Dockmaster 0405 971 800. No vessels to be left unattended at any time without previous authorisation from the Waterfront Manager or Dock Master.

All vessels entering the pond should contact Dockmaster via VHF radio channel 73 (call sign ‘Squadron Tender’ weekends only) or call 0405 971 800. Pick up/drop off area is a 5 minute zone, available to collect and drop off crew members. No berthing on the inner pontoon.
