Karabos V111 presented 3 inflatable PFDs for Category 7 safety inspection on 1 September 2007.
The safety auditor, Tim cox rejected the PFDs asserting there was "no evidence of testing by the manufacturer" and refused to sign the safety certificate.
Conclusion & Rules that apply
RRS Special regulation 5.01.6 specifies that manufacturers testing is not mandatory for Category 7 but only recommended. The committee agrees that the safety certificate should not have been withheld.
