Six yachts, more than half the fleet in Division 2, were ruled OCS in the RSYS Winter Series on Saturday, apparently after failing to note a postponement signal on the Committee Boat.

Among those listed OCS was the pointscore leader going into heat 8, Philippe Odouard’s Cool. As a result Cool has dropped from first to third on the leader board.
Other boats OCS were Zeus II, Avanti, Tingari, Lahaina II and
Wizard.
Explaining why so many boats in Division 2 were OCS, Race Officer Rob Ridley reported:

Three teams from the Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron will contest the 2008 Open Yngling World Championship, to be sailed from Skovshoved Harbour, just north of Copenhagen, Denmark from 3-12 July. The 2008 Youth Europeans will also be held from the 2-5 July.
The three teams from the Squadron participating are:
AUS 48 – Chris Harper, Jan Harper, Jake Selinger
AUS 43 – Jordan Reece, Alan Reece, Michael Reece
AUS 5 – David Chapman, Tom Scardifield and a third crew, yet to be named
AUS 43 and AUS 5 will also compete in the Youth Europeans.
Calling all members, friends or youth sailors looking to have extra sailing on the big boats; our skippers are looking for both casual and permanent crew.
